This really is about us
"It was important that we build on Saturdays win at Bournemouth, but it was a really tough game. Bradford caused us quite a few problems but we caused them some problems. The first half was so open, it looked like we could score when we went forward and they could have done so as well. Full credit to Bradford, I thought they were good, but the most important thing for me is that although I don't think we played particularly well, we have the three points."
"It's probably the first time this year where we have done that, we've always had to play really well to win. We didn't perform as well as we can do and there are things that we can do better, but the most important thing is that we have come away with three points."
"Wayne Brown made some greats saves, and as soon as it kicked off they had a good chance but he made a great save. We made some good interceptions and some good clearances, when we had to put a body in the way; we put that body in the way. All the things that you need when you're not particularly passing it well."
"As a team and a group of individuals, that's what they are like. They work really hard everyday to be better and they know that without that work ethic, you do not have a career. The younger players here have good examples with the senior players that we have, they train properly every day. Right now we are all delighted but for us, we are enjoying it as much as we can now. Tomorrow it all starts again planning for Hereford United on Saturday."
"Now we are in the top three, and I suppose we are there to be shot at, but there are 21 games left, and we are the ones that are in control. If we do really well in those 21 games, then it will be a great season. That's the aim for us, we don't worry about other teams and what they do and how they go about it. This really is about us and what we do."
"There are plenty of home games to come and it's good to be at home, its ages since we played at home. The good thing is that we played at home and we have three points to show for it. The important thing is now that we move on and get another three points on Saturday, again it will be another tough game - they are all in this league and we've seen on Tuesday night, it doesn't matter who you are playing - if your not on your game, you will get beat, so its for us to be on our game."
"Damien Allen was on the bench on Tuesday, they are coming back now. It's just at the top end of the pitch where we are really short. We've had some fairly bad news on Tom Elliott today. Yesterday we thought he was back in but he's broken down in training at Leeds so we are not sure when it's going to happen now. Bish is again probably another couple of weeks so at the moment we are nursing the strikers and wrapping them in cotton wool for as long as we can until we can do something about it."
"Sodje is on eight bookings now so he has to be careful, the five booking rule has gone now that's fortunate for us. Stephen Dawson was really close (nb - the five card rule went on 31 December) with four bookings for ages, he did really well because you know he's going to get booked, but he hasn't so we move on."
"We didn't make any substitutions; some of the payers didn't play as well as they could in possession of the ball. We were chatting in the dugout and it's the young players that I am looking at, I thought it's about time they learnt to play through that. It's easy for me to change it, but I want them to play through that and to experience it, and I thought they did. It builds' there confidence and makes them stronger and allows them to react to the situation, because I am sure it will happen again."
