"The win wasn't sweeter because its a local derby game, its sweeter to me because they are top of the league and we came into the game as underdogs, but on Monday night we have shown that if we play to our full capability that we are a match for anybody."

"Ryan's goal was a great finish and I thought it was also against the run of play.Rochdale came into the game as we knew they would.We stopped passing the ball and went longer, that allowed them to have possession of the ball, but against the run of play - its a great finish and all of a sudden the pressure was on them."

"Thats two clean sheets on the bounce now, its fantastic and comes just at the right time.  Whenever Rochdale had a chance, it wasnt because they made the chance, it was because we gave them the chance.  We have to stop those type of things, on another night Chris O'Grady would probably put that miss into the back of the net, fortunately for us, he didn't."

As always, managers are always cautious and now we have another really tough game on Saturday at Bradford.  Now we need to take the Rochdale performance into Saturday.  The pitch was bobbly and the conditions difficult, but we saw in the first half that oth teams tried to pass it.  I thought our passing in the first half was excellent and we did move it around the pitch."

"In the second half, it was just the same. I dont think it had that much of a bearing on the game.  We'd all like to play at Wembley every weekend, but this is league two.  When you win you dont moan about the pitch , so don't moan about it when you lose."

"We had a strong bench on Monday night, and we have another coming on on Thursday (Sam Hewson), Tom Elliott will be back on Monday so now we have some real decisions to make regarding the bench.  Thats good though, and its come just at the right time.  Rochdale have strengthened and brought in three players, so we felt it was important that we do the same and strenghten us."

"Sam Hewson is a good player, he can play in midfield in the hole and the opportunity came.  We've been working really hard to have a relationship with Manchester United and it just works out for us and for them that Sam needs an opportunity to play and to come out.  We are thankful to them because they have been fantastic.  You talk about the big clubs not thinking about the smaller clubs.  Thats just not true.  Manchester United have been there for us when we've needed somewhere to train, and now its a player - that have been there for us, so hopefully that continues and we are extremely grateful to everybody there."

"He's a really talented footballer and he can play a number of positions.  Primarily he is a midfield player, but the way we play, he fits into all those positions, the wide player, the one behind the striker and then central midfield.  He's also got an eye for goal and a really talented footballer.  We are hopeful that he adds a bit of quality to us and competition, which is the main thing."
