"There's frustration and anger around at the moment. I wasn't happy with the first half performance on Tuesday, how we started the game and how we approached the game. We are edgy, nervous and you can see it. Some people have phoned me that were at the game and said exactly that, that we looked nervous and I don't know why. Our home record is as good as anybodies in the league. We just have to get on with it and hope it turns quickly."
"Games are counting down and its getting closer to the end. It's in our grasp and we don't want to lose it. The players feel that and how you stop that - I don't know. You just have to have the belief and not worry about it, we have to get on with that we do and what we have done to get ourselves to third in the league."
"Stephen Dawson said it on Tuesday night - 'we need to relax'. It's not easy to achieve that because there is so much at stake. Every time you miss, you can hear the crowd and that translates to the players. You can't stop that because the fans just want the same as us. Hopefully it will quickly turn around."
"I am frustrated with what is happening on the pitch because I have asked them to do something and on Tuesday we didn't do it, especially in the first half - I thought we were poor. Darlington came here with a difficult formation to play against, and we've come across it before but we have to be better than that. It wasn't if we didn't create any chances because we did, and we had some really good opportunities but we just didn't take them."
"It we take the chance, it just eases all the nerves, then we can sit back and play all our football but until we get that, then it will be pretty edgy and tense. It looks like its going to stay edgy until that first one goes in."
"On the training ground we do lots of shooting and lots of finishing, but once you put it onto the pitch, there's not a lot you can do. It's totally different on the training ground, its much more relaxed, the tempo is good, the energy is good, the technique is good and each player is probably having 15 or 16 shots but when it comes to the big game, you usually only get the one chance."
"Andy Bishop was feeling stiff on Wednesday after playing the 60 minutes, but he has trained on Thursday and looks ok. He is going to be rusty, but he isn't going to get sharper unless we play him - so we have to play him. We have to have some belief, we know that he has some quality, the sharper he gets then the better he will be."
"It was a difficult decision leaving Andy Morrell out, but I thought he looked a little tired after playing a lot of games. Bish had looked better in training and it was an easy decision. There's also Tom Elliott. The first time he came, he was on it straight away, but this time it's taken him some time to get that back, plus he's also had a bad injury. It has taken him a while to get back and I thought that when he did come on, he made an impact. He is getting fitter and stronger and he is an extra option."
"We didn't come away unscathed on Tuesday. Mike Jones took a kick to the ankle early in the game and he didn't train on Thursday because of it. Danny Carlton has got through another good weeks training and he will have a game next week to see how he comes through it."
"Saturday will be tough, its Macclesfield's first home game since Keith died and it will be an emotional game for everybody that knew him. Hopefully it will be a big crowd as a mark of respect to a really good football man. It's a difficult time and unfortunately football carries on. Keith was a football man and he would have expected it to carry on. There is still a game of football to win and Macclesfield are a decent side, but despite everything, we are a decent side, we are still third in the league."
