Chesterfield 1 Bury 0 - Hannah Ingram at Saltergate
After claiming their sixth consecutive win on Tuesday night at Gigg Lane, Bury travelled to Saltergate for the final time to face an in-form Chesterfield. After beating the Spireites at Gigg Lane earlier in the season, Bury looked to be bringing their confidence with them to face a Chesterfield side currently in the play off places. The last time the Shakers played here, they took all three points with a 3-1 win, helped by an overhead kicked goal from Ben Futcher.
The home side seemed to the have the majority of the best play in the opening stages of the game, with Dominic Green firing wide of the right post from a free kick five minutes into the match. Minutes later and Rundle sent in a dangerous low cross from the left of the box, looking for the outstretched Conlon who put the ball out for a goal kick.
Bury had a golden chance to take the lead on 11 minutes after a BBM corner from the right fell kindly to the feet of Futcher whose close range effort was save by Lee.
Niven tried a long range effort on 19 minutes from well outside the box, forcing Brown to palm the ball away to his left as Conlon appealed for a penalty.
Dawson crossed the ball to Jones on the left of the box on 24 minutes, and Jones' shot was initially blocked by Lee before the loose ball fell to Dawson whose shot was cleared from in front of the line by Nevin.
Yellow card for Chesterfield and Bury on 24 minutes - Rob Page and Ryan Lowe
Rundle sent in a low cross from the left on 37 minutes looking for the finish from Conlon, but he fired straight at Wayne Brown. Moments later and Jones had time to tee up a shot from the left of the box, but he blasted over the bar.
A corner from BBM on the right on 41 minutes looked set to put Bury into the lead as the ball fell to Futcher who sent a close range volley goal bound, but was cleared off the line by Niven.
Rundle came close for the home side on 44 minutes as he beat Scott on the left of the box and then sent a powerful drive to Wayne Brown's right, hitting the post in the process.
One minute of added time was indicated by the fourth official, but was soon over as Futcher was cleaned up after a challenge left him with a cut on his forehead.

Both sides returned to the field with no changes made, but Dawson was soon taken off the field after he was left grounded.
Substitution for Bury on 47 minutes - Sam Hewson on for Stephen Dawson
Hewson had a clear chance to take his first goal for Bury three minutes later after a dangerous ball from Lowe on the left wing left him unmarked and with time to line up his shot, but he somehow put it wide of the left post.
The Shakers came close again three minutes later as they formed a quick counter attack with Morrell eventually crossing the ball from the right to Jones on the left of the box, but his shot lacked power and was gathered by Lee.
These misses for Bury proved costly as Chesterfield took the lead moments later.
Substitution for Chesterfield on 57 minutes - Scott Boden on for Barry Conlon
GOAL! With virtually his first touch of the game, Boden headed the home side into the lead after a corner from Gray on the right. Boden got up well and headed the ball into the net at the near post from close range.

A crossfield ball from Morrell on 64 minutes set up Lowe on the right wing, but his cross was put out of play by Page, just wide of the right post.
Double Substitution for Bury on 75 minutes - Andy Bishop on for Ryan Lowe, Tom Elliot on for Andy Morrell
Worrall came inches from bringing Bury level on 78 minutes after Jones picked him out on the right of the box, but after he brought the ball down he shot wide.
Substitution for Chesterfield on 79 minutes - Drew Talbot on for Gary Madine
Jones was unlucky not to have his name on the score sheet with four minutes of time remaining. After a foul on Paul Scott, Bury were awarded a free kick 18 yards outside the box. BBM and Jones both stood over it, but it was Jones who powered a drive over the Chesterfield wall, but clipped the bar in the process.
Four minutes of added time were indicated by the fourth official as Bury continued to press forward. Futcher could have scored at Saltergate for the second consecutive season two minutes into added time as a goal mouth scramble ensued. A cross from Jones on the left was left to bobble in the box, and Futcher's shot was blocked in front of goal and the ball was cleared.
Time was soon called on a second half dominated by the away side. Bury threw everything forward from the restart, and even after falling a goal behind. Numerous wasted chances ultimately cost the Shakers the match, and their winning run sadly came to an end.
