Bury started the game slowly and BBM was quickly dispossess by Richards, his curling ball into the box though was cleared by Cresswell, however, Cheltenham came straight back and a looping effort from Richards fell over the top of the bar.Brown did have to make a save seconds later as Josh Low tested the Shakers keeper. From his clearance, Worrall fired the ball high over the bar and stadium.Bury had the ball in the back of the net moments later when a Worrall cross saw a cheeky flick from Bishop but a quick flag on the far side ruled the effort out.

Another Cheltenham attack on five minutes saw Alsop leap above the Bury defence, his header went towards Richards but a sterling challenge from Poole had the ball out of play for a throw.Matt Thornhill fired the ball at goal from the throw but fired the ball wide of goal.

A long clearance from Ryan Cresswell on 9 minutes saw Bishop flick the ball on, his ball towards Lowe though lacked pace and the home side smashed the ball clear.Bury's best spell came on 12 minutes when severe pressure started Barry-Murphy burst forward into the box, his ball fell to Lowe who seemed to be taken out by the home defence, the referee played on and Stephen Dawson fired a rasping drive at goal that keeper Scott Brown touched away from goal.Dawson collected the rebound but won a corner from his shot.

Medy Elito, Cheltenham's right hand winger began to cause problems for Bury on 19 minutes and he forced a couple of decent balls into the Bury box, thankfully Sodje and Cresswell easily dealt with all of them with some ease.

Another spell of Bury pressure on 25 minutes, led by Stephen Dawson, saw Lowe and Bishop both miss out,Lowe's control was good but the challenge from Duff saw the ball driven out for a throw.Buchanan's throw though was pushed too deep by Ryan Lowe and forced out of play for a Cheltenham goal kick.

A Sodje back pass on 28 minutes nearly had Bury in trouble, the ball went away form Wayne Brown and to the foot of Josh Low, his shot though was blocked by David Buchanan and the visitors got the ball clear from the resulting throw.

The game changed on 34 minutes when Stephen Dawson's cross field ball was picked up by Elito, he quickly moved it forward to Richards who burst through the Bury back line, took the ball around Brown, but as he went past, Brown hauled down Richards. The ref gave the penalty and sent off Wayne Brown.Cameron Belford replaced James Poole but Belford was unable to prevent the home side taking the lead as Richards sent him the wrong way from the penalty spot

Goal:Cheltenham 1 Bury 0 (Richards (Pen) 36)

Bury had a good chance to get back into the game on 40 minutes from a BBM free kick after Stephen Dawson had been brought down on the corner of the box.Barry-Murphy's free kick though wasn't the best and flew high, wide and handsome of the goal.

Half Time:Cheltenham Town 1 Bury 0

The second half began with a disaster as the home side doubled their lead.Josh Low charged forward down the flank before whipping in the ball into the Bury box. With the Shakers defence rooted, Matt Thornhill had the easiest of jobs to pass the ball into the bottom corner, with the Bury defence stood watching.

Goal:Cheltenham Town 2 Bury 0 (Thornhill 46)

Cheltenham made it three on 51 minutes when Josh Low picked up on a David Buchanan mistake, he surged forward with the ball into the corner, his cross into the box though deceived everyone and the ball lofted harmlessly over Belford and into the far corner.

Goal:Cheltenham Town 3 Bury 0 (Low 51)

A Josh Low delivery into the box on 56 minutes saw the ball drop onto the head of Richards, but his header flashed high over the bar and out for a Bury goal kick.Bury got the ball forward quickly and with the home keeper attempting to clear, Andy Bishop closed him down quickly forcing him into the mistake, Ryan Lowe collected the ball wide of the area and drove a speculative effort at goal that flew well wide of the target.

Just after the hour, Bury replaced David Worrall with Andy Morrell, within seconds Ryan Lowe had driven the ball at goal though the roll of the ball took it straight towards the home keeper.

Danny Carlton then replaced Andy Bishop on 69 minutes, his first touch was to drive the ball at goal that was cleared out for a throw, the resulting throw found the head of Andy Morrell whose header forced the keeper to tip over the bar for a corner.Perhaps if Morrell realised just how much time he had on the ball, the result would have been a slightly better outcome.

Bury got back into the game on 80 minutes when Andy Morrell was bundled over in the box.The home manager was sent to the stands after his protest over the penalty decision.Ryan Lowe stepped and calmly put the ball beyond Scott Brown to give the Shakers a slim hope.

Goal:Cheltenham 3 Bury 1 (Ryan Lowe (Pen) 79)

Within two minutes Bury had a second goal, a long ball forward from Sodje fell to Danny Carlton, his effort was pushed away but only to Ryan Lowe who calmly slotted home, off the post to make it 4-2.

Goal:Cheltenham 3 Bury 2 (Ryan Lowe 81)

Within forty seconds, Cheltenham got another goal back, Josh Low this time simply walked through the Bury defence and rolled the ball beyond Belford to restore the home side two goal lead.

Goal:Cheltenham 4 Bury 2 (Low 84)

Unbelievably the Shakers conceded other moments later, Josh Low again was the architect behind the goal, his simple pass fell to Barry Hayles and his soft shot slipped underneath Belford to make it 5-2

Goal:Cheltenham 5 Bury 2 (Hayles 85)

Cheltenham almost made it six on 90 minutes when Michael Pook rolled a shot across the face of the Bury goal; thankfully Belford got a finger to the ball and just kept the shot come cross out of the back of the net..  Andy Morrell had one final attempt on goal but his effort flew harmlessly wide of the target.

ANother five goals conceded for the second saturday in a row, with five games left we need to turn this around quickly.
