CHRIS Casper said he and Keith Alexander are both in agreement about what type of players the club need to recruit this summer.
The pair, who have met several times to discuss transfer policy in the last three weeks, have both confrmed the League Two club will be in no rush to make additions to the squad.
But a clear blueprint is starting to emerge for potential signings, with both men agreeing on key areas which need to be strengthened within the squad
"Both me and Keith are singing from the same hymm sheet, and we both know what is needed for next season," Casper said.
"We have got a very young squad at the moment, so we need to find some more experienced players to get that blend, which perhaps we didn't have at times last year.
"Players we have spoken to so far have got that, but we don't need to rush things through. They aren't going anywhere."
Casper has admitted an error in judgement last season when he divulged five summer targets, none of which the club were able to secure.
He is also keen to avoid the awkward months which followed Dwayne Mattis' departure for the club in January, when no natural replacement could be found in time to halt the side's decline towards the foot of the table.
"There are lessons to be learned, and I will do that," Casper said. "Replacing Dwayne would have been very difficult, but we are working hard to make sure contacts are in place to be able to do that quicker than perhaps we did last season."
