An 84th minute winner from substitute Lukas Jutkiewicz hands Town another massive three points in the race for automatic promotion.

Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock made one change to his starting line-up with 'The Beast' returning to the eleven at Gigg Lane. Ashley Westwood made the switch into right-back, replacing the suspended Jack Smith.

Town were quickly on the attack with a free-kick opportunity just sixty seconds into the game. Christian Roberts swung in the set-piece from the left which found Corr unmarked at the back post, but from the angle the Irishman saw his effort fly well wide.

Andy Nicholas was lucky not to escape a caution on seven minutes after hacking down the rampaging Mocquet, but thankfully the referee chose to warn the defender rather than brandish an early yellow card.

Christian Roberts' first chance to show his pace came with ten minutes gone and the Welshman raced clear down the right wing. Having taken the ball to the byline, Roberts clipped the ball to the back post where the Bury defence cleared with Zaaboub and Corr lurking.

The best chance of the opening quarter of hour came Swindon's way. A long free-kick from the Robins half was launched forward to Corr who headed on to Zaaboub on the touchline. The Frenchman (still wearing gloves despite the heat and short-sleeved shirt) swung in a pinpoint cross to Sturrock who headed agonisingly wide from six yards on the angle at the back post.

Bury ventured forward on 16 minutes and after a low punch from Phil Smith, the ball ran out to Paul Scott who saw his left-footed effort go wide from 22 yards out. The game unfolded in a lacklustre style with both teams struggling to put anything together.

The home side saw a header from Andy Bishop drift over from a corner on 36 minutes before Michael Pook's miscued volley drifted harmlessly wide at the other end. Paul Scott saw another long-ranger cause problems and his effort was deflected for a corner. Thankfully the Town defence got their house in order and were able to clear with ease.

Town made one change at the break with Barry Corr replaced by Lukas Jutkiewicz. Jutkiewicz took his place alongside Sturrock in the Town front line with Town eager for another vital three points.

It was the home side who could have opened the scoring though with an early opening. After Andy Nicholas had conceded a corner with an excellent challenge, a Bury corner found Dave Challinor unmarked and the Shakers defender headed narrowly wide on 47 minutes.

Town then went on the attack with Lee Peacock seeing his shot from three yards deflected just over. From the resulting corner the ball was hacked out to Westwood, whose 20-yard striker was only parried by Warrington but the Bury defence were there first to clear.

Swindon continued their attacking theme with Pook's shot headed into the side netting by Sturrock on 50 minutes. Just two minutes later the Scot was again at the centre of the attention. A great ball through the middle released Zaaboub and the Frenchman unselfishly released Blair Sturrock. He advanced forward into the box but scuffed his right-footed shot which was gathered with ease by Warrington.

Sofiene Zaaboub turned provider on the hour with a bursting run down the left-hand side. He beat two before reaching the byline, then whipped in a perfect cross to the near post which was met by Sturrock who saw his close range header well-saved - and held - by Warrington.

Zaaboub was again involved in Town's next attacking move with another near miss. A flick on from Jutkiewicz saw Zaaboub race into the box and from an acute angle, he hit his shot across goal but past the far post.

Paul Sturrock's first change of the afternoon arrived on 74 minutes with Ashley Grimes coming on in place of Blair Sturrock. In response Bury manager Chris Casper, a former Town loanee, brought on Tom Youngs for Glynn Hurst. At the same time Aaron Brown replaced Christian Roberts.

Aaron Brown's first major contribution was an impressive one. Having controlled a long range pass from Pook, the substitute ran through three players before a neat reverse pass to Grimes who had made his way into the box. The Manchester City loanee saw his effort deflected wide for another Town corner which was cleared.

With just six minutes remaining Town broke the deadlock. A corner from Brown caused havoc inside the box and the ball fell to Jutkiewicz who made no mistake to fire the ball into the roof of the net for his fifth goal of the season.

Just before the end of normal time Phil Smith prevented what could have been an equaliser from the home side. A cross from the right bobbled along the six-yard box with Smith diving bravely at the feet of Youngs to save.

Jutkiewicz could have added a second inside the added three minutes of time. After being played through by Grimes, the Everton-bound striker's touch ran just too far ahead and Warrington was there to claim.

In the dying seconds a free-kick midway through the Town half saw the Shakers goalkeeper Andy Warrington advance for a corner. He rose high to head against the post but after a series of subsequent corners - Town survived and the referee blew his whistle to send another massive three points in Swindon's direction.
