Dons manager Paul Ince says entertainment for the fans will be priority number one when the League Two season finally gets under way against Bury this Saturday.

The Shakers will be the first side to face the Dons in a competitive game at stadiummk, as the pre-season friendlies are set aside for the real business of league points.

But Ince says performing for what will be a big crowd at their new home will be top of the agenda on Saturday as his side look to start the season on the right foot.

He told mkdons.com: "The main aim is to perform and play entertaining football like we did in the Chelsea, West Ham and Watford games.

"Results didn't really matter to me in pre-season, it was more about getting fitness levels up and learning to play with each other. But for the players, it was good to get into the winning mentality, especially at the new stadium, and it can only benefit us this season."

A big crowd can be expected for Saturday's eagerly-anticipated season curtain-raiser and expectations are rising after the Dons impressive pre-season results.

But Ince has been working to create a relaxed atmosphere in the camp and says that is vital at this point.

He added: "I think you have to be relaxed, especially around the players. If they see you are tense it affects them so I'm just trying to be as relaxed as possible.

"I'm looking forward to the game, I can't wait to get the season under way so I'll have to get a good night's sleep Friday and prepare for Saturday."
