"Mondays events with Chris and Keith leaving were disappointing, especially for all us players that Chris Casper brought into the club and the group of players that he has assembled here.  It's just a shame that we couldn't have done more and got better results for him.  We all wish and hope that we could have done more for him and we are sorry as a group of players to see him go."

"It was a very difficult situation for Chris himself, to be thrust into the situation like that, but he handled it with dignity and they way that he left the club was very dignified. He got us all together; he spent the time to get all the youth team together.  He is a man of dignity and there is a saying in life, good people, no matter how many times they get knocked down, will always bounce back and I am sure that is true for Chris Casper.  I am sure that he will bounce back from this."

"He will bounce back quickly, he took the job at a very young age, though in my opinion, I think you should work with somebody more experienced for three or four years, but everybody is different.  Chris had the opportunity and he gave it his best shot.  He did his very very best for this club and was always very professional."

"The lads were fantastic on Tuesday night, I sat watching the game and obviously Brassy and Shez changed the system a little bit and it worked for us.  The whole team were excellent and it was a great performance from start to finish and to be fair, apart from the last ten minutes - that was the only bit of pressure that they had.  Jim Provett pulled off one or two good saves at the end.  It was very encouraging and great to see the fans in good voice."

"Hopefully we can get more days and nights like that here at Gigg Lane, and that's what we need to strive to do.  It was players and fans together right from the start, and that's what we need at this club.  We have that spirit anyway, but we need everybody to be as one.  It's a fresh start, but its only a start, we need to continue that on Saturday."

"Chris Brass is very firm and he knows what he wants, but at the same time he knows what he wants.  Whatever will be, will be but he is a very honest and hardworking person, he's also very knowledgeable.  It will be interesting to see, he's got to be given time and they've got to have a little see.  I was very impressed with what he did the other night.  Let them have four or five games and see how they adapt.  He's got great experience from York and that will stand him in great stead.  Give him a chance and let's see what he can do."

"Tuesday night was one game, it's a start and that's all it is.  Consistency is called of from us all as a squad of players.  We will probably be playing a little bit differently now and that will suit the players that we have got, plus we have Chally to come back, we've got Andy Mangan to come back, there's Dale Stephens who did exceptionally well plus we may get some loan players coming in."

"We are all in this together, let's go and give this a really good go and see where this takes us.  If we take the same level of performance and commitment, against an in form side such as Stockport County - who have a very good manager and a very good team, they came here last season as a good side and we beat them 2-0 - I think we can win the game and I think we can win the game in a bit of style as well, but if we have to win the game just digging in, then we can do that as well."

"Stockport brought 2000 fans last year, they will probably do the same again, I just call on our fans to come back, there was an extra 1,100 there on Tuesday and it was very much appreciated. It does give us a big lift and the fans do act as a 12th man."
