"The fans have started calling me 'Awesome Dawson'.I don't know what that's all about; they obviously haven't been watching the games that I've played in but its nice to see that the fans do appreciate that I am trying to give it may all, but it's a long old season and please god, long may it continue like this."

"You can't fault the season at the minute, but I believe the only downfall at the moment was the Chester game.We are all really disappointed with that result because in the first half we deserved to be a lot more than 1-0 down and in the second half we should have gone on to win the game. For me, it's a case of two points dropped and we could have been top of the league, so bar that game, everything has gone really well."

"Now we have a tricky game away at Barnet on Saturday, which is always tough, but we are travelling down on Friday and the preparations' are good with staying overnight in the hotel and we should be in a good frame of mind to go out there and get the three points on Saturday."

"After what happened to me last season with Mansfield and relegation, I still can't believe it, I keep pinching myself.I look at the table every day and you say is this really happening. Its great but I believed this could happen from talking with the gaffer towards the end of last year.Even the club, the fans, the players and everything has been brilliant.I've settled right in and everyone has kind of jelled together and I believe we are playing some good football."

"Every one of the eleven players that are playing, even the subs that are coming on for the last ten minutes are giving their all.Training is tough and physical all week, and even if we lose the fine a side we have, we are going mad.The whole place is really on a high and we feel as though we have nothing to fear, but it is a long old season and we can't get carried away with ourselves."

"It's nice for the fans to believe that there is something there because the last couple of years haven't been a nice time with fighting of relegation and stuff like that. This year, I believe it could be different."

"To be fair, the gaffer is great; he is at the minute anyway because I am playing. He is fair and honest. He will tell you if you're not doing well and he will tell you if you're not putting the work in.That's al you want from the manager. You want somebody to believe in and to give you the chance and at the minute, he is giving me that chance.Everyone here has helped me to settle in right and I feel right at home again, I love every minute of it."

"I said when I first came that I wont score many.I don't get past the half way line, never mind score. The manager has me and Brian Barry-Murphy just sitting there to kind of protect - although we haven't done a great job because we are still conceding a few goals, but we are happy for the flair players to get the goals. We'll just sit tight at the back and hopefully not let them score."

"I've picked up three yellow cards as well and I think I've been unlucky with all three.I do tend to get involved a little too much and I have to learn to relax a little, but during a game it does get heated, you go in for every tackle, you want to win it and you never back out.I got another on Saturday against Lincoln, a few have said it was never a yellow card, but a few have even said that it could have been a sending off.I don't think it was a vicious tackle myself, but if you show studs and after seeing the replay, I could have been sent off.I'm just happy to hopefully be playing Saturday and not suspended."

"Barnet is a tricky game; they always give it there all. They are not doing too well in the league, but they are a good team and they will come out looking for a result.Paul Fairclough has been there a long time plus I know Adam Birchall from our Mansfield days.Pour confidence is good and the preparation is brilliant. We are travelling on Friday.I've never seen preparations like the gaffer does here, it's all prepared right and come Saturday at 3 o'clock, we will know everything about Barnet."

"The fans will turn out in force, I've never known so many fans turn up at an away game like Bury fans, so hopefully we can get three points for them."

"It is a long season and we know that there will be games that will be tough, but I am really enjoying it here, but the main thing for me is that come may, we are there or there abouts. That's the main thing and that's what we all want."
