"I picked up the injury last Thursday, we were training after the reserve game and as I was doing side to side movements my back seized up.  It was disappointing that I couldn't be part of the squad for Saturday, but overall I think we are looking for Monday before I start training again and get back to full flow."

"I didn't travel last weekend, contrary to what some people were saying.  They were blowing things up and you hear things.  People were putting six and six together and coming up with 24,000.  It's just a slight back injury and I'm disappointed not to be involved."

"I sat at home watching the results coming through and after about sixty minutes I thought oops, but Bishop scored and I was just sat waiting for it to come.  Then Andy Morrell grabbed the winner and it's a good three points for us and that's important.  It's also important that both Andy's scored.  That was important for the club, the gaffer and the team as well."

"Us being top of the table is a rare one, but we can't get carried away with it.  We were in the same position at Notts County when I was there.  We stayed at the top for four or five weeks and were looking really good, but you've just got to be cautious but confident at the same time and not get carried away, you just have to have the belief in what you are doing and that's the key for me."

"The lesson I learnt from Notts County is that the manager then made quite a few mistakes in trying to change the squad around too quickly and that in turn spoilt what we had already, after that year the warning I would send out to our lads is that Notts County just stayed up in the last game of the season when we were in the same position that we are now."

"There are definitely good times ahead for this football club, not just this season, but next season and beyond that as well.  There are success's to be had and if we keep along this track, it will come and it should be there for everyone to enjoy.  At the same time, we have to try and keep our feet on the ground.  Its doesn't matter if you are winning, drawing or losing, you have to try and be the same people and learn and grow through the experience."

"Andy Bishop & Andy Morrell scored on Saturday, if you take away my injury - they are keeping me out of the side, and I'm not happy about that.  I would be lying if I said anything different.  I played the first two league games that we won.  I didn't score but I thought I was influential in both games and I was disappointed to be dropped.  To a certain degree I still am.  It's the gaffer's choice, but if people thought that I am not disappointed not to be playing, then they should think again because they certainly don't know me as a person and they don't know what I am about."

"I'm desperate to get back in the team and I am desperate to do well for the team.  No disrespect to either of the two Andy's, but I want to keep them out of the side because that will be good for the team.  Its competition for places!  Both of them are very good player's but at the same time, I classify myself as good as either of them and I am itching to get the chance.  I'd be lying if I said anything different.  It's frustrating but at the same time, it's an exercise in patience for me."

"How do I cope with it?  The power of prayer is a wonderful thing.  It's teaching me things about myself.  It's a learning exercise and if you learn from each experience, you learn to say how I feel about it.  You have to just be honest about it and how you are feeling with the situation."

"Bish has scored 50 goals in just over two years, it's extra ordinary and to have a goal scoring record like that is brilliant.  I don't think there is anybody in the bottom two divisions who can come close to that and that's testament in itself.  At the end of the day he is a goal scorer.  People will probably say that he has to improve certain things about his overall game, but at the same time, he is only 24 and this season I have seen signs of Bish coming out of his shell regarding doing other things towards his game and that's important for him if people are looking at him in respect of a year or two down the line.  You give him a chance, and he will score a goal."

"Saturdays game is mouth watering for our supporters, now is a good time to be a Bury supporter and it's a good time for the stay away fans to come back, it's a good time for them to buy into what we are doing.  We want them to come back because there are good time ahead and we as players would like those stay away fans to come back and be a part of that.  It will be a different experience to that that kept them away from here.  It's a new management team, it's a new setup, everything is positive and please come back and support us.  Come back and find the happiness that you used to find with Bury Football Club."
