"Two months in and we are top of the league.I have to be honest and say that I would not have thought that over the summer, but we are all glad to be there and we just have to keep it up now. It's not been easy to get there, there's no such thing as an easy game of football. We've been doing well during games, but we haven't been dominating games as much as we would like to be, so to be where we are and not playing as well as we can do is a bonus and hopefully we can kick on again this month and do what we have done in the previous two months."

"It's a big thing for us that we haven't got into top gear yet. We've played well in spells, but not the whole of a game yet, but when it does happen, it will be even more exciting for the fans and we should be able to kick on again."

"I'm getting a lot more attention from defenders this season.Last year when I came I hadn't really played any games and nobody knew who I was. It's always good when that happens because it shows people that you are a good player.I'm enjoying it here and I always enjoy playing football and to be at the top of the table is even better."

"When I was here last year, the gaffer had just come in and there was no pressure on us because everyone just expected us to fade away and end up in the conference, but when the gaffer came in he turned it round, but this year, the fans are expecting a bit more and hopefully we can do what they want us to do."

"The gaffer deserves his manager of the month award. We are unbeaten, top of the league and in the last couple of years, Bury have been seen as the club that are down at the bottom end and the gaffer has come in and turned it around, brought some new faces in and there is a fresh feel to the club."

"You get manager of the month awards for a reason, if it wasn't for the gaffer bringing in the players and getting us together as a group as he has done, then we wouldn't be where we are today."

"My gaffer at Wolves (Mick McCarthy) and the gaffer here at Bury are very similar in ways.Alan Knill is maybe a little more relaxed and in a way, he is less 'in your face', but they are very similar in the way that they speak to you and they are both very honest people."

"The crowd for the Wycombe game was brilliant, and that's what we want every week. The more people that come here, then the better we can play. There is something new happening here and all we can do is keep winning and hopefully more fans will come to the games."

"I don't know a great deal about Aldershot, but that is upto the gaffer to tell us all about them on the way down on Friday. He tells us every Friday and tells us player by player of what to expect and what they are about, so that we can go down there and play our own game, and to try and take the game to them."

"We are expecting a tough game, they have just come up and they are still busy and happy that they are back in the league and they are not going to want to lose their league place easily.I don't look at things like their home record or stats, its another football match and I honestly think that we can beat anyone in this league."
