A tough game for both teams
"Coming back to Gigg Lane was a little weird for me because I didn't know how everyone would react after my penalty was one of those that put Bury out of the play offs, I was a little scared when I first heard about it but it is a good move for me.Hopefully I can do a good job here and if it ever comes to it, I can score a penalty for Bury to put them through."
"I had other options as well, I was speaking to Rochdale and Shrewsbury Town, but I felt that from Shrewsbury I needed a new challenge.Obviously I know all the lads there and I got on really well with them, but I wanted a new challenge and I thought that Bury would be a good one for me."
"It's not just that I started my career here, it was everything.I've heard a lot of good things coming out of Gigg Lane about the manager and how his training sessions are, how the club has changed for the better from when I was first here so I thought it would be good to come back. There's only Domaine Rouse left here from the Youth team that I was in."
"Saturday was the first game of the season, it does mean something but there are still 45 games to go.We have to win at Darlington next Saturday and then everyone will be thinking that we are back on track."
"I'm the type of lad that wants to win, it doesn't matter who I am playing against.Even if I am playing tennis or anything, I have to win.I play seriously, and I train seriously.I'm always in the mood to win.Last year was good because obviously the play offs and then getting through to Wembley. It was a surprise to me though because I wasn't involved for the final.Paul Simpson had his reasons and I have to respect that reason."
"Pre-season for me was a trip to Slovenia, it's a little different to Goshen and lower Gigg Lane, but it was hard.We did a lot of running and a lot of training sessions but it was a good experience."
"Tuesday will be a tough game, West Brom does have players missing and we as a team want to react better to the game on Saturday and knock out a good championship side, that really should still be in the premiership and it should be a good game."
"We need a reaction and that's from the lads, not the gaffer. We want to make it up to the fans because we let them down on Saturday, plus make it up for themselves. We all knew that it wasn't up to the right standards. The gaffer hasn't asked me anything about West Brom, he already knows what he's talking about. He's already seem them play against Newcastle on Saturday so he knows what to expect."
