The gaffer didn't have to tell us
"We are all disappointed, and we all know the fans are as disappointed. It was a bad 15 minutes from our part for their goals. In the first half, I thought there was nothing in it. It was a horrible night and there wasn't much in it, everyone was scrapping and there wasn't a lot of quality in the game but I feel sorry for the fans, there were a lot of them that have made the trip over to Morecambe and they know that we can be better than that. Now its one defeat in twelve, we know we didn't turn up and all we can do now is put it right on Saturday."
"We are all disappointed with the result. It was just one of those games. Whoever scored the first goal had a good chance to win it. We had a good chance to do that at the start of the second half when David Worrall had a shot blocked on the line, so it could have been different if it had gone in, but it was disappointing on our part, but we will stick together. We know what we can do and we know that Tuesday night wasn't good enough. Hopefully we will come back on Saturday and with our own fans behind us at Gigg Lane we will go from there."
"I didn't think Morecambe were going to score, I'll have to see the video again. You couldn't talk to the referee and I tried my best not to lose my head because I am one booking away from suspension. I didn't see the penalty incident so can't say if he handballed it or no, but to be honest, there wasn't only that. We will move on and we know that we can be better individually and collectively. Its one defeat in twelve and it's not the end of the world."
"Ben Futcher was trying to clear the second goal and he was unlucky that it went it. The third was a counter attack when we were trying to get back into the game, we huffed & puffed but now it's a big test for us to come back form that and we are more than strong enough to do that."
"We are strong enough to do that and I don't think we have had many back to back defeats since I came to the club. We will be back in and start preparing again for Saturday which is a big game for us."
"We've lost Ryan Cresswell, Mike Jones didn't play on Tuesday but we've had that all year now. The eleven that goes out there are good enough to beat any team in this division, we've proved that all ready this season, but we will have to bounce back because we were not good enough in that second half."
"The manager doesn't have to tell us, we know ourselves that it wasn't good enough. We are all disappointed but we just have to move on now. Let's regroup and go again on Saturday. The defeat does put pressure on because there are a few teams around us now; they've won on Tuesday night. We've been playing well at home recently and if the fans join us then we will get the win that we need."
"We are two or three points of fifth position now, it's a tight league and the Christmas period is going to be a really big test for us. If we can pick up wins along the way, and keep it tight then come January and we are in the play off places, then we should be ok."
"The club and I are talking about a new deal and hopefully something can be sorted.I've had the chance with the club and I am hoping that they are going to come back now in a week or two and that we can go from there.I'm happy here and of course I want to stay, but we will see where we are at and get it sorted out, but it's not about me and the deal - it's about the team and that's the main thing."
