Prolific striker who signed at the end of the 2005/06 season by former manager Chris Casper from York City. A prolific goal-scorer whilst with Minstermen, Andy quickly adapted to league football and has continued with his goal scoring skills whilst with Bury. Bish has finished the last three seasons as the clubs leading scorer with 63 goals to his credit.
Andy started his career with Walsall but never made for first team at the Bescot Stadium.Loaned out to Kidderminster Harriers, Rochdale and Yeovil over two seasons, Andy was eventually released from Walsall and signed for York. Another 34 goals came his way at the KitKat Stadium before Bury pounced for his signature. Prolific in front of goal and something of a cult hero to Bury fans, another bagful of goals should be coming Andy's way this season.
Linked with several Championship clubs since signing for the Shakers, Andy signed a long term extension to his contract part way through last season. In jury hampered him towards the end of the season and he underwent surgery to remove a cyst from his knee the day after the play off semi final. Recovery was swift and he came back fighting fit, only to then suffer a double hernia operation two weeks before the start of the season.
