Profile: Joined the Shakers in July 2006 after his surprise release from Preston North End's Youth System.Preston had decided to scrap their reserve side and their loss was Bury's gain.
Initially Richie arrived on trial at the end of the previous season (05/06) and played in a reserve game for the club where he managed to score the only goal of the game. Pace and ability on the ball are just two of Richie's strong points and he has proved to be a valuable asset to the club.
Possessed with a keen eye for goal, Richie signed a contract extension before the start of the 07/08 season and is another player that manager Alan Knill rates very highly. A joker in the dressing room, Richie has all the quality to progress further and have a good season in the middle of the park.
