Manchester born David Worrall is a product of the Shakers Youth System that progressed through the ranks via the clubs centre of excellence. His determination shone through the various junior teams before he joined the Youth Team in 2006.  It wasn't long before he was attracting attention from clubs higher up the football league ladder and in March 2007, whilst still a 1st year scholar, an offer of £50,000 from West Bromwich Albion took him to the Hawthorns.  David made just one appearance for the first team before his departure.  Tipped as a player for the future by the management team at the Baggies he made only one appearance for them in the League Cup.  David was sent out on loan to gain some experience of league football and joined Accrington & Shrewsbury Town respectively.  Whilst at Shrewsbury, he was instrumental in knocking the Shakers out of the League Two Play Offs but was sensationally dropped for the final at Wembley.

He rejoined bury in August 2009 on a six month loan deal and made a further 21 appearances, and scored his very first league goal in a 2-2 draw with Northampton Town.  With his loan move to Gigg Lane coming to an end, the Shakers suddenly announced that he had joined the club for a second time after signing a two and half year contract.  His career path from Centre of Excellence to the Shakers First Team had taken him to the Premier League and back again, via three league clubs.  A skilful and pace filled winger, David enjoyed a good campaign last time out with a total of 44 appearances in all competitions as the Shakers secured promotion.
