19 year old Manchester born David Worrall is a product of the Shakers Youth System that progressed through the ranks from the clubs centre of excellence. His determination shone through the various junior teams before he joined the Youth Team in 2006.
It wasn't long before he was attracting attention from clubs higher up the football league ladder and in March 2007, whilst still a 1st year scholar, an offer of £50,000 from West Bromwich Albion took him to the Hawthorns. David made just one appearance for the first team before his departure. Tipped as a player for the future by the management team at the Baggies he has thus far made only one appearance for them in the League Cup.
David has been loaned out to two league two clubs before joining Bury on loan in August. Five games for Accrington Stanley and 12 games for Shrewsbury Town, including two against Bury in the 2008/09 Play Off Semi Finals. A quick and tricky midfielder, David is the type of player that can changes games in an instant and his return to Gigg Lane has gone down very well with all Shakers supporters.
