Profile: A product of the Youth System at Huddersfield Town, right-sided Danny can play in either defence or midfield and signed his first professional deal ahead of the 2006/07 season with the Terriers.
He was one of only two players to have come through the academy at Huddersfield to have been offered a contract extension in May 2007 until the summer of 2008. With the introduction of a new manager at the Galpharm Stadium, former Shakers gaffer Stan Ternent, Danny suddenly found himself without a club after being released.
After coming through a successful and impressive trial period with the club, Danny was offered a deal by the Shakers and he signed a twelve month two year contract on 25 July to become Alan Knill's fifth summer signing
