A product of the Youth System at Huddersfield Town, right-sided Danny can play in either defence or midfield and signed his first professional deal ahead of the 2006/07 season with the Terriers.  He was one of only two players to have come through the academy at Huddersfield to have been offered a contract extension in May 2007 until the summer of 2008.

With the introduction of a new manager at the Galpharm Stadium, former Shakers gaffer Stan Ternent, Danny suddenly found himself without a club after being released.  After coming through a successful and impressive trial period with the club, Danny was offered a deal by the Shakers and he signed a twelve month contract prior to the 2008/09 season.  That contract was extended a further 12 months during the summer.

His first season at Gigg Lane finished with heartbreak as he was one of two players to miss a penalty in a play off semi final shoot out, though quick to recover from the disappointment, 'Rax' has claimed the first penalty of this season is his.
