A second year professional goalkeeper that has successfully come up through the Shakers Youth System.Ritchie signed his first contract offered to him at the end of the 09/10 season.Born is Gravesend, Kent, Ritchie has previous experience with Bolton Wanderers after playing for their academy.
He describes himself as a good shot stopper and is determined to learn and progress his career.Now that he has earnt his first pro contract, he aim now is to do it all over again to make the first team. Son of former Bolton keeper Keith Branagan, Ritchie knows that he has a long way to go in order to emulate his fathers career.
Ritchie made his full league debut for the Shakers in October 2010 following a facial injury to first team keeper Cameron Belford.His reward for the last 12 months was a further 12 month extension and he signed the contract shortly before pre-season.Ritchie has also progressed to the Northern Ireland U21 side, making two international appearances'.
