Travel Club Update
Hi Folks
Just to let you all know that we will be organising the Coach travel to Away games from now on.
Our aim is to take as many fans as possible to away games on coaches provided by the Club.
Why not join us and enjoy the luxury of travelling direct from Gigg to the Away ground without any of the hassle involved in driving yourself or having to get into Manchester to catch a train - and no extra costs like parking fees.
Click here for an Application form.
You can find information about coaches to all away games by using the following. PDF Document - here | Word Document - here | Download the software to read PDF Documents by clicking here
The only game where we are not providing a coach is Rochdale. If you become a member you will be able to reserve a place on as many coaches as you like by filling the form in and returning it to us. (Reserving a place doesn't mean you have to travel - if something comes up later which stops you going on a particular trip just tell us and we will take your name off the list)
The costs shown are for non members.
You don't have to join the Club to travel on the coach but we want as many people as possible to join because the more members we have the more benefits there will be.
Here are some of the things members can expect:-
1) Reduced cost of travelling by coach - this won't be a lot to start with but the more members we have the better it will get! You will get the cost for members when you confirm a booking.
2) The chance to reserve places on coaches for all the season - you can add or take off as you go along! (Having an idea of how many people are interested in a particular game helps us plan ahead too)
3) If members want to spread the cost of travel we are happy for them to pay weekly or monthly throughout the season or throughout the year. Please let us know if you want to take up this option - we would prefer you to pay by direct debit but we are very flexible.
4) We are here to listen to your ideas too - we will start off small but as we grow some of the ideas in the pipeline include family coach tickets to further reduce costs, additional reductions for kids, having a pick up point in Heywood and possibly other areas and organising weekend trips to far away games like Torquay and Bournemouth. If you've got any other ideas then talk to us - we want to provide a service for as many fans as possible.
We are not here to make a profit. Your membership will help ensure that we are able to run coaches to all the Away games each season and we will also be trying to get some sponsorship to help further reduce the cost of travel. If there is any money left over at the end of the season then we would look at running a reduced price coach to the final away game as a thank you to all our members.
We will be publicising the Travel Club as much as we can - by posters in the Club and around the Borough, in the Programmes, on the Score Board and on the Website so keep a look out for updates.
You can help us too by passing on this information to anyone who travels to away games who may have missed the publicity.
Thanks for your help
Karen & Joan
