Chris Beech has resigned from his position as Youth Team Manager.

Chris Beech has left Gigg Lane after resigning from his position as Youth Team Manager with immediate affect.

Beechy was appointed to the job following Chris Casper's promotion to Youth Team Manager in October 2005 and went onto make a significant impact on the Shakers Youth System.

Last season saw five youth team players given their first team debuts, a record in recent years and the youth team themselves had one of the most, if not the most, successful seasons in their own league, finishing second in the Youth Team League and reaching the Semi Final of the Lancs FA Youth Cup.

Chris goes with the clubs thanks for a job superbly done and best wishes for the future..

The club has acted quickly in replacing Chris and centre of excellence manager Mike Sheron has been promoted and takes over as Youth Team Manager with immediate affect.A new centre of excellence manager will be appointed in the coming weeks.
