Bury have dipped into the loan market to bring in experienced goalkeeper Joe Murphy until the end of the current season from Championship high fliers Huddersfield Town. The 34-year-old agreed a two-year deal, with a further year option in Huddersfield’s favour, to become their first summer signing ahead of the 2014-15 Championship campaign.
Dublin-born Murphy has represented the Republic of Ireland twice and is one of many international players on the books at the Kirklees Stadium. A player with vast experience across all levels of the game, Joe has made over 500 appearances for clubs including Huddersfield Town, Coventry City, Scunthorpe United, Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion. Joe joined the Shakers on loan until the end of the season in the January transfer window.
