Shakers dip into the Welsh Premier League for wing wizard on two year deal

25 year old winger Craig Jones has joined the Shakers after the Gigg Lane based club paid Welsh Premier League side The New Saints (TNS) and undisclosed fee for his services.


A winger that can operate on the left or right, Craig comes to Gigg Lane with a reputation of scoring and creating goals. 


Voted into the Welsh Premier League team of the season on numerous occasions, Craig has also represented Wales at Under 23 at semi pro level.  Craig also comes to Gigg Lane with Champions League experience.


Over a four year spell at TNS, Craig has made a total of 89 appearances, scoring 19 goals.  His last game for the New Saints was in July when he started both games in the UEFA Champions League 2nd Qualifying round games against Helsingborg’s


Tracked by several clubs over the years, including Leeds United – with whom he spent time with on trial, Craig will step into the squad ahead of the weekend’s game with Championship side Middlesbrough.


Craig will take squad number 9 for the forthcoming season and has signed a two year contract.
