Bury FC to get Fit For Free

6 December 2012

Bury FC have taken their off-field training indoors to the Fit For Free fitness centre at the Rock in Bury

The partnership will allow first team and youth team players to use Fit For Free’s facilities for rehab and fitness as they aim to continue their climb up the Npower Football League One table.

Fit For Free Bury is the second club in the UK for the leading Dutch gym chain. Just a year after opening Chris Green, the gym manager, sees this as a big step in promoting the quality of facilities available at the site.

“Fit For Free is all about high quality equipment and promoting fitness for everyone. That a team like Bury FC has recognized this is a great boost for the company and also a great chance for us to be more involved with other local organisations and the community”

Founded in the Netherlands in 2005, Fit For Free currently has 300,000 members across 53 operating clubs in Europe. The gym chain operates a unique concept of affordable fitness where members are able to recoup the price of their monthly fee by taking advantage of the club’s Fit For Free membership/discount card. This card provides exclusive discounts on a variety of local and national products and services.

Gym-goers are able to choose from three different monthly fitness packages at £9.95, £15.95 and £19.95 per month, allowing users to pick a plan to suit their budget and schedule. Fees will be directly invested in equipment, tailored fitness programmes and expertly trained staff over ‘added luxuries’.
