Andrai Jones agrees and signs two year deal
Bury Football Club are delighted to announce that young defender Andrai Jones has agreed and put pen to paper on a two year contract at the club this afternoon.
Liverpool born Andrai is one of four scholars to have been offered professional terms at the end of the 09/10 season after successfully coming through the Shakers Youth System. Jones describes himself as strong in the air and strong in the tackle. Andrai also has previous experience from the academy systems at Everton and Preston North End.
Keen to learn and with an eye for a good passing move, Andrai now faces the monumental task of impressing the manager enough to be considered for first team action. Skilful on the ball with some good close ball control, Andrai, played just a total of eight minutes of football during his first season.The 2011/12 season proved to be much better though as he collected another nine appearances.
Quick to learn and eager to impress, Andrai finished the season with some strong performances at right back is already showing signs of pushing hard for a regular start in the new season.
Speaking this afternoon, Manager Richie barker said:"Obviously I am delighted that Andrai has tied himself to the club for another two years. It's never really been an issue with him regarding him and his contract offer. The new season promises to be a big season for Andrai and players like him. Now it's time for him to fulfil his potential that we has shown during last season and step forward."
