Marcus Marshall makes it two signatures for the day – so far…
Former Blackburn Rovers and Rotherham United winger Marcus Marshall has put pen to paper on a two year deal at Gigg Lane.
Described as a talented and skilful winger, Marcus initially signed for the Millers on loan from Premier League Blackburn Rovers in January 2010. After several substitute appearances he broke into the side towards the back end of the 2009/10 season with an eye catching first start in a league win at Dagenham and Redbridge.
After 22 appearances Marcus made the switch permanent in the summer penning a two-year contract with the Millers. Last season he went from strength-to-strength terrifying League Two full-backs with his pace and trickery which was capped with a stunning strike in a draw against Northampton.
Changes in management ar Rotherham brought change for Marcus and he was sent out on loan to now relegated Macclesfield Town in January where he made 14 appearances, scoring one goal.
Marcus has a total of 95 appearances under his belt and has found the back of the net five times.
Squad number 11 has been given to Marcus and we’ll have full reaction from him later on Wednesday.
