Bury Ability Counts FC were triumphant last week in a tournament held by the Greater Manchester Ability Counts League at Salford City Reds new stadium.

The tournament was for footballers from throughout the Greater Manchester with a wide range of disabilities. The tournament consisted of Manchester City deaf team, Manchester City learning disability team, Manchester United deaf team, Manchester United pan disability team, Oldham Athletic pan disability, Wigan Athletic pan disability and Rochdale pan disability side.

On their way to the final the shakers side beat Oldham 3-1 Man City 4-0 Man United 2-1 Wigan 3-0. The final itself was played against Oldham and although the 1-0 victory by Bury sounds close the reality could have been that the score line could have been significantly higher had chances been taken.

Well done to all of the players on winning the trophy and more importantly playing some excellent football in the correct spirit.
