The Derby High School and Bury Football Club announce an exciting new partnership!

The Governing Body of The Derby High School and the Board of Directors of Bury Football Club are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between the two much loved Bury institutions.

In an exciting new venture Bury Football Club Academy and Community staff will be working with The Derby P.E. team to further enhance sporting opportunities at the school.  Bury Football Club coaches will be working with students to provide that professional edge to their emerging footballing skills and players from The Bury 1st team will be promoting the club at The Derby.

As a result of major support from Bury Council, The Derby High School has a new £1.2 million Sports Hall on its way.  The partnership with Bury Football Club has come at a great time bringing great benefit to both parties and eventually increasing sporting participation in the local community

The 127 year old club have recently signed a two year partnership deal with the local council, and this current agreement works within the spirit, aims and targets of this ground-breaking framework.

This is great news in this British Olympics year .  Both parties are greatly appreciative of the help and encouragement of Bury Council in making this exciting new initiative possible.
