Leicester City striker Tom Hopper joins the Shakers on a month’s loan
A product of Boston United’s centre of Excellence that played for the Pilgrims first team at the tender age of 15, Tom Hopper joined Leicester City in the summer of 2010 where he spent two years impressing in the Foxes youth team, so such an extent that he was named Academy Player of the Year for last season.
Tom has some first experience, coming off the bench to replace former Shaker David Nugent in an FA Cup tie against Swindon Town. Tom signed his first pro contract over the summer and joins the Shakers hoping to gain league experience.
Tom will link up with former team mate Shane Byrne and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s game at Sheffield United. Tom will wear squad number 28 during his time at Gigg Lane.
