Forever Bury FC v LivSmarter Allstars

Charity game at Gigg Lane on Sunday

This year Forever Bury FC are taking on a team of television celebrities from hit shows including Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Waterloo Road and Grange Hill. The day will consist of a charity football match held at Gigg Lane between the Bury fans team and the Livsmarter Allstars team. Kick off is at 2.00pm. Before that, come and join the fun for the whole family with activities and stalls open from 11am. After the game there will be the chance to meet the celebrities and get your pictures taken with them.

The squad for the team has been announced: Chris Fountain (Justin Burton in Hollyoaks, Tommy Duckworth in Corrie), Sam Aston (Chesney Brown in Corrie), Ashley Taylor-Dawson (Darren Osborne in Hollyoaks), Chris Perry-Metcalf (Togger Johnson in Grange Hill), Andy Whyment (Kirk Sutherland in Corrie), Ralf Little (Anthony Royle in The Royle Family and Jonny Keogh in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps), Will Rush (Josh Stevenson in Waterloo Road), Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs in Corrie), Nico Mirallegro (Newt in Hollyoaks), Nick Pickard (Tony Hutchinson in Hollyoaks), Will Ash (Christopher Mead in Waterloo Road) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw in Corrie) will all be available subject to availability.

It promises to be an exciting game! All moneys raised will go towards the charity Hurdles. Parent run and parent led, Hurdles is a charity to deliver advice, practical help, emotional support, friendship and servicesw to families in the borough of Bury who have children or adults with disabilities and/or special needs.

They can be purchased from the Bury FC Reception, Bury FC Social Club, Forever Bury Cabin, Hurdles (Tel 0161 797 0082) and from Forever Bury FC Players. Pay on the day is also available. Supporters will be seated in the Main Stand.

And if that wasn't enough, we are also holding a 'Curry and Cabaret' night at the Gigg Lane Social Club with doors open at 7.00pm following the game. Stars from Coronation Street will be providing the entertainment: Catherine Tyldesley, John Michie, Ian Puleston-Davies, Anthony Cotton, Jennie McAlpine and Mikey North will be showing off their skills and music will be provided by Pete North and Friends. There will be a free curry and the bar will be open until late. Tickets are selling fast but are still available now from Hurdles (Tel 0161 797 0082) and cost just £10.
