A guide to logging into Shakers Player on your android/apple device

Existing Player Subscribers:
Existing Player subscribers will be able to use their log in details to access all Player content on their iPhone or Android app. The steps to access the content is:


Step 1:  If you haven’t already, download The Official Football League Clubs’ iPhone or Android app.

Step 2:  Select the Player tab in the bottom navigation and select a video. You will then see the below screen:


Step 3:  Enter your existing Player log in details


 

You are now logged in to Player. You can now view all video content and listen to live commentary on a match day. To listen to live commentary:


  • Select the fixture
  • There will be an audio bar below the fixture and above the text commentary, like below. Fans will need to select ‘Play’ to hear commentary.


Commentary will continue to play when closing the app so that users can continue using the handset.  Commentary will only stop if they select the ‘stop’ button. Once the match has finished, a pop up will appear to notify the user to close down the app.


Logged in:

Once a user has logged in, the Player log details will be remembered for future visits. These details can be changed by visiting:


  • Settings
  • Select ‘Player login’

 

 

  • You will the get the below screen:

 

 

This method can also be used to initially log in to Player.

 

New User:

New Users should sign upto Shakers Player using a laptop/PC.  It is not possible to sign up using the App.  If a fan selects the Player tab and doesn’t have an existing Player subscription, they will be advised to sign up online.

 

 

Users that have already purchased an in app subscription will be given two options:

 

1.  Users can only currently subscribe via a monthly payment method. On the iPhone this needs to be renewed manually each month. Once SSO launches, fans can continue accessing content until their month expires. The user won’t be able to upgrade to the new app though, they will only be able to access content on the current app.


Once their monthly subscription expires, they will then need to upgrade the app and subscribe to content via the online Player. This will be explained in the ‘upgrade’ notes.


Android subscribers automatically renew per month. Although new users won’t be able to sign up via this method, we have to support existing payment renewals. Again, if they wish to continue their subscription, they will only be able to use the old app and won’t be able to upgrade to the new one. This means they will still only get videos.


2. Alternatively, if an existing subscriber wishes to upgrade to the new app and get commentary, they will need to cancel their existing in app subscription through their itunes or Google Play account. Users can then upgrade to the newer app and sign up to receive content via Player, online.
