Ash Eastham returns

Ashley Eastham make a Gigg Lane return

Kevin Blackwell has brought Ashley Eastham back to Gigg Lane for another loan spell.  Ashley will be with the Shakers until the end of the current season.

Ashley first signed for the club on 25 August 2011 on a month’s loan after Mark Hughes collected a hamstring injury in a game at Wycombe Wanderers.  His loan move would eventually last the full season where he made a total of 27 appearances for the Shakers, scoring two goals in the process.

He returned to Bloomfield Road and has made a further six appearances this season for Notts County and Fleetwood Town.  A product of the Blackpool youth team, Ash Eastham signed professional terms with the Seasiders in May 2009 and gained valuable first-team experience on-loan at Cheltenham Town.

He is predominantly a centre-back and joined Carlisle United on a short-term loan deal, before returning to Cheltenham Town on-loan in January 2011.  His impressive displays last season drew the attentions of a number of Football League clubs and lead to him being handed a new one-year deal in the summer of 2011.

Ash will remain at Gigg Lane until after the final home game of the season and takes squad number 6
