Andy Bishop leaves

9 July 2013

Striker Andy Bishop calls time at Gigg Lane and joins Wrexham

The club have reached an agreement with striker Andy Bishop regarding his contract and the striker has left Gigg Lane for the final time to join Conference side Wrexham.

Andy joined the club on a free transfer from York City on 08 May 2006.  During his long spell at Gigg Lane he has made 264 appearances and scored a total of 83 goals.  Whilst his first three seasons brought goals for the Shakers, a series of injuries has marred any progress, though Andy looks to be finally injury free after a serious run of bad luck.

Andy leaves with the club blessing, and appreciation for the effort and commitment that he has shown the Shakers over the last seven seasons.
