Mini Preview: Blackpool

23 July 2013

Shakers set for final public pre-season run out

Blackpool visit Gigg Lane this evening for what currently looks like their final game in their pre-season warm up, though manager Kevin Blackwell does have a handful of behind door closed games going on over the next week.

This evening’s game could give a few clues to the managers first eleven ahead of the Chesterfield game in just over a week.

There are still plenty of options for the manager to choose with his starting eleven for Chesterfield beginning to form, though the manager continues his search for a number of positions.

The mini tour of Cornwall is being hailed as a total success after the lads scored a staggering 22 goals in just two games, and for many it’s also the first chance to take a look at Anton Forrester (if selected to play).

The on-loan striker bagged himself seven goals in a 15-0 rout of St Blazey a week ago, and should be hungry for more goals as the big kick off approaches.

Admission for the game has been set at £10 for adults & £5 for all concessions.  Home supporters have the use of the main stand whilst Blackpool supporters will be across the pitch in the South Stand.

Website Coverage:  Team news will be available on the website as soon as we have them.  Full match commentary will be available on Shakers Player from five minutes before kick-off, whilst Liam Smith’s match report will be available on the main website later this evening.  Martin Ogden’s match action photos have moved to Facebook for this season and will be available at some point on Wednesday.

Video interviews will be available on Shakers Player on Wednesday, with our new YouTube channel also picking up some of the weight with video interviews from today
