Keep the kids busy with Bury FC Community Trust
Now that the schools have broken up for the six weeks holidays, the Community Trust has started its holiday programme of activities. Over the next six weeks, there will be a variety of camps offering a range of different activities to help keep the young children of Bury entertained and fit and healthy during their lengthy break from school.
This week, as well as the usual Soccer Camp, there is also a girls’ football camp and athletics camp, all of which run from PlayFootball.net, which is part of Bury College. All camps are open to children between the ages of 5-13, run between 9am – 3pm and cost £10 per day.
The Soccer Camp will take place during every week over the summer holidays, offering skills sessions and a chance for young people to take part in world cup competitions, penalty shoot outs and to meet Robbie the Bobby.
In addition to the Soccer Camp, next week there will also be a girls’ netball camp for the week, and the following week (5th August) there will be a week’s cricket camp, both of which will be at PlayFootball.net.
The popular Shakers Activity Camp will return for the final weeks of the school holidays, the week commencing, the 12th August, the 29th August and the 27th August. This gives children between 5 – 11 a chance to try out volleyball, streetdance, the air track and a range of other activities at All Saints Primary School.
