On target to smash season ticket record sales
The deadline for reduced priced season tickets is looming, the final curtain comes down at 1pm on Saturday - if you haven't got your ticket at the new lower prices - do so quickly
The club are on track to smash the figure for season ticket sales, and already we've gone well over the 1,250 sales figure. We've now raised the bar and are looking for 2,013 season ticket sales before the first game of the season v Chesterfield on 03 August - it's a very achievable target and we hope to be able to reveal just who gets the 2,013th season ticket hand delivered by special guests from the club, including the manager, players and maybe even the chairman himself.
ALso, don't forget, the ticket office will be open until 7pm on Thursday, and from 9:30am to 1:00pm on Saturday.
Chairman Stewart Day made one of his first decisions as Chairman of Bury Football Club, and has radically slashed prices of all season tickets for the 2013/14 season. Matchday tickets bought on the day have also been radically slashed ahead of the new season.
The chairman realises that many supporters have already committed to their season ticket for the new season. Those supporters will be compensated the difference between the price they have paid and the new prices as shown below, by means of complimentary tickets.
Those supporters entitled to the complimentary tickets, will be able to collect their tickets once th season tickets are ready. In the meantime, if you have any queries please contact Sharon Unsworth (Sharon.unsworth@buryfc.co.uk), Katie Pooler (Katie.pooler@buryfc.co.uk) or Emma Kay (emma.kay@buryfc.co.uk) in the ticket office at Gigg Lane by email or via the phone on 08445 790009 (option 3), or by simply popping into the club.
Speaking to buryfc.co.uk this afternoon, Chairman Stewart Day said:
‘Football has become overpriced and I know of many people that do not come to games purely because it is too expensive. We have made this decision because we know that supporters want to come and watch a game of football, they want to be entertained and we want them to come to Gigg Lane.
We want numbers up and we want people sat enjoying their afternoons at Gigg Lane, and if we can make it affordable for everyone then it helps us achieve our goals. We’ve also set out a compensation offer for all those that have already purchased their tickets and are offering complimentary tickets to the value of the difference, in order that your friends and family can accompany you to games and get into the Shakers revolution as we have.’
The ticket office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. As from 01 June, the ticket office will also be open until 7pm on Thursday’s for the month of June.
