Drop a shirt size proves to be a success...
Drop A Shirt Size, the Community Trust’s weight management programme for men has shown some really positive results after the first six weeks of the programme.
The scheme which is run out of the gym at the JD Stadium provides men with a chance to combine a fitness session with an opportunity to get some advice about weight management, diet and nutrition. Each person who attends is given a personalised exercise plan and nutritional advice to help them make important lifestyle changes
After six weeks, one of the participants Neil Robinson has lost 6kgs (almost a stone) in weight, two inches off his waist and an inch off both his arms and legs. Neil said,
“The ‘Drop a Shirt Size’ team has really helped me make a lifestyle change. I suffer with quite severe arthritis all over my body, but since starting on the programme my whole health has improved including my arthritis. This is definitely down to the combined effort of eating a balanced diet and the exercise programme the Community Trust staff and the health trainers have put together. I can’t thank them all highly enough”.
There are still a few places left on the programme which takes place every Wednesday between 5pm-7.30pm. To book a place or for more information call Lucy Hodson on 08444 875 333.
