Join us for our education open day this Today at the JD Stadium
The Community Trust’s education department is holding an open day on Monday (25th November) for anyone that is interested in securing a place on any of the programmes for the next academic year.
The open day will take place within the classroom at JD Stadium, which overlooks the pitch and will provide a chance to meet the staff at the Trust who are responsible for running the programme, including Mike Morris the Community Manager, and Mike Waterworth, the Education Lecturer.
Anyone who is leaving school this summer after their GCSE’s and is interested in finding out about the courses run by the Trust, especially the BTEC Level Three in Sports Performance and Excellence can simply turn up between 5pm – 7pm for an informal chat and a look around.
Mike Morris, Community Manager commented,
“Being able to continue your education within a footballing environment is something I would urge all young people with an interest in pursuing a career in sport to consider. The current education programmes run by the Trust combines a strong academic element with a chance to gain vital experience and an opportunity to take part in the games programme, where young people will represent Bury FC against other teams representing other professional clubs across the region.
Holding an open day means that potential recruits can have a look around the facilities, soak up the Gigg Lane atmosphere and talk to the teachers and staff about what the programmes entail. Anyone is welcome to come along, have a cup of tea and a chat and it is not necessary to book a place.”
If you are unable to attend on Monday but would like some information on the education programmes, please contact Mike Morris on firstname.lastname@example.org
