Last Chance for Tickets

18 November 2013

Shakers legends Craig Madden and Chris Lucketti return....

Bury Football Club are proud to announce that both Craig Madden and Chris Lucketti will be guests of honour for the re-arranged FA Cup First round fixture against Cambridge United on Tuesday 19th November in the 1885 Suite.

Craig and Chris are set to provide a fascinating insight into their careers as players at Bury and recently acquired coaching roles with league rivals Fleetwood Town FC.

We will also be offering the chance for ticket holders to win the rights to select the Man of the Match as well as be part of the Match ball presentation with the Referee prior to Kick off. Ticket holders will be entered into a draw on Monday the 18th November and 2 lucky winners will be selected at random.

Craig Madden joined Bury in 1977 and spent the next nine seasons at Gigg Lane – making 297 appearances but perhaps better known for scoring the odd goal or two.  Craig is currently the clubs highest ever goal scorer with 129 goals to his name as a Shaker. Amongst those goals was 35 goals claimed in the 1981/82 season.  Eventually he left Bury and joined West Bromwich Albion, but he’d be the first to say that his remaining days of his career were not as successful as his days wearing the white shirt of the Shakers.

Chris Lucketti was the last Bury captain to lift a championship trophy here at the club. He joined Bury for a modest £60k in 1993 and went onto make 235 appearances  and eight goals for the Shakers. Joining in time for the 1994 playoff final at Wembley, the disappointment of missing out was driven away the following season with promotion. The season after saw the Shakers take a championship title with Bury heading into Division One (Championship). Surviving that first season ranks amongst Chris’s highest achievements.

Tickets are available at a cost of just £32 from which you will have access to the following:

- Tickets for the 1885 Suite and a match ticket located in the Directors box
- Access to the bar before, during and after the game
- Buffet, Tea & Coffee to be served at half time

You will enjoy a superb evening at one of the more modern and most welcoming hospitality lounges in the football league. Each and every guest will be greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and will be provided with a high quality of service and the chance to meet two of Bury Football Clubs legends.

Please note there is a strict dress code of smart casual in the 1885 suite which includes no jeans, no trainers or no replica shirts.
