Bury FC are delighted to announce that Craig Jones has signed a long term contract at the club.
Craig has put pen to paper on a two and a half year contract extension to his current deal, the club have also inserted an option for a third year on top of his new deal.
After a positive start to the season and before injury put him out of the side, Craig was top of the assist league for all the divisions in the early stages of the season.
This new contract is another step in securing the long term stability of the football club.
Chairman Stewart Day said this morning: "We are delighted to have tied Craig into a longer term contract with the club as Craig's ambitions match the clubs to be playing football at a higher level. We feel that Craig will play a significant part to make this achievable with Bury FC and how we want the club to progress forward".
Speaking soon after putting pen to paper on his new deal, Craig said: "I am delighted to have signed a contract extension as the ambition of the Chairman and board of directors has shown me where they want to take this club. I am excited at the prospect of being part of that journey to take this club into the higher levels of the football league where we rightly belong; the transformation at the club in the past few months has been exceptional which is why I wanted to commit my future to Bury FC”.
