Statement from the boardroom re the managers position
The main priority at this time is to implement a state of stability that can support the players to regain the type of form that we know they are capable of.
With this in mind and the fact that the players have demonstrated their full support for Ronnie Jepson, it has been decided to appoint Ronnie as the caretaker manager until January 2014. The current back room team will also remain.
This does allow the Club to allow the dust to settle and assess the situation without being forced into any knee jerk reactions.
The situation has been muddied by the amount of bizarre press and social media speculation linking the club with a variety of managers and potentially unsettling the players.
The past 2 games has demonstrated to us that the players have the desire to play for Ronnie and the fans and get out of the lowly league position.
We do support Ronnie 100% and feel that the backroom team and the players echo his obvious drive and passion to succeed at this Club.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and work with him to make sure that we deliver on the pitch.
We know this is a difficult period but ask that you offer your support to Ronnie and players and continue to act as the 12th man that has been so appreciated in the past few months.
We strongly feel we will finish the season on a high and look forward to the challenge with as much enthusiasm as ever before.
