School Holiday Programme

21 October 2013

Still places available for the October school holiday programme

With one week to go to the school holidays, there is still plenty of time to book onto one of the Community Trust’s half-term activities.

Five different holiday camps will take place between the 28th October - 1st November, which includes the much loved Soccer Camp and the Shakers Activity Camp, and specific sports camps in Cricket and Netball.  In addition, there will also be a brand new camp, the Junior Boot Camp which will give young people the chance to take part in fitness sessions, different games and assault courses, the types of activities undertaken by professional athletes, all with fun in mind.

The Soccer, Cricket, Netball and Junior Boot Camp will take place at and the Shakers Activity Camp will be at All Saints Primary School.

All sports camps are suitable for all children between the ages of 5-13 years whatever their ability level and the Shakers Camp is open to children aged between 5-11.  Camps cost £12 per day, or £55 for the full week, although additional discounts are available for on-line bookings.

For this October, parents can also put their children into the Soccer Camp and the Shakers Camp from 8.30am-5pm to help with childcare arrangements.  This will cost £17 per day or £80 for the full week, with additional discounts available for on line bookings.

And remember, along with the holiday camps there will be a fun-filled, spook thrilled Halloween Party, with fancy dress for children a must.  Along with a competition for the best dressed ghost, witch or ghoul, there will also be food, drinks and a disco.

The party will take place at the Social Club at Gigg Lane on Wednesday 30th October between 4.30pm-6.30pm and costs £6, although all children booking onto one of the holiday camps for the full week will receive a free party ticket.
