Following on from the release last month of the Community Trust short film ‘More than just football’, which showcased the work of the Trust, the Bury FC CT has just launched the first of three additional films which details the work of different individual departments in the Trust.
The first new film to be released ‘A day in the life of the Shakers sports programme’ highlights the work of the Trust’s sports department. Currently the Community Trust works with 42 schools across Bury and the surrounding department offering breakfast clubs, curriculum time sessions and after school clubs in a whole range of activities. These include cricket, hockey, football, circus skills, tri-golf and the fit kids programme.
However, the Trust’s sports programme offers much more than just schools sport. There are currently development centres operating in Bury, Manchester and Salford in cricket, netball volleyball and cheerleading. The Trust also operates Bury’s only rhythmic gymnastics club as well as a full football development programme, which includes mini-kickers (for three to five year olds), skills centres, Futsal, goalkeepers development centres, advanced coaching clinics and girls development centres.

Watch out for the release of the next two Community Trust short films.
