Neil Howarth appointed as Head of Operation and Player Analysis
The Club are delighted to introduce Neil Howarth, who comes in as Head of Operation and Player Analysis. The position of Head of Operation and Player Analysis, is a position that Manager, David Flitcroft, has been looking to include as part of the Club's management team since he came to the Club back in December, but felt that he had to wait for the right man to fill the position and we take great pleasure in announcing Neil as the man to fill the position.
Neil started his career in football as an apprentice at Burnley. He then went on to play in the Football League with Macclesfield and Cheltenham, finishing his playing career in the conference at Telford and Kidderminster. Neil then moved into management, becoming assistant manager at Kidderminster and then Cheltenham Town.
As part of his role, Neil will work closely with all members of the coaching staff in order to develop a thorough understanding of the current squad, and the strengths that already exist within it, which will aid analysis of opposition, as well as helping to drive recruitment.
Neil's position will also focus on expanding the scouting network within the Club, in order to identify talent at youth level at all levels of football, as well as foreign talent.
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Neil to the Club and we feel that this is another positive as we look to continually improve the development of the Club.
