New look programme

8 August 2014

Programme collectors in for a treat

Shakers programme collectors are in for a treat ahead of the new season, but we have to warn you – you will need more room on your shelf as the clubs biggest ever programme is about to hit the JD Stadium.

This seasons programme is packed with more content – 120 pages of content to be exact about it and we’ve got more content with new features and new contributors.  Chief amongst those is former Premier League Referee Mark Halsey who will pen a match by match column on refereeing matters that matter.  Mark kicks off his new feature with his verdict on the performances from officials involved in the World Cup.

This season the club celebrates our 130th anniversary and to mark the occasion and with the very kind permission of Peter Cullen, we are reproducing the entire history of the club via the programme.  Each match programme will have 20 pages of club history starting from the very beginning – 24 April 1885 until the end of the new season.

Obviously Peter Cullen’s Official History book (the Bible) ends at the end of the 1998/99 season so the task is mammoth as we bring the clubs history right up to date towards the end of the 2014/15 season.

More images, more features and a whole new look and feel, the new look programme ‘BURY130’ comes in at a hefty 120 pages, and still only costs £3.00 per edition.

With 120 pages, you’d also think it was packed with adverts – wrong – we only have 15 pages of ads within the new look programme.

From the chairman, the manager and all departments within the club, we’ve got features from the usual contributors plus more images from Martin Ogden’s right index finger as well as stats and pages for the kids.

Whatever your choice, there will be plenty of content for everyone – and for just £3.00

‘BURY130’ will be available to order online from Friday afternoon and on sale at the JD Stadium from Saturday – get yours as soon as you can.
