Players' Summer Training Sessions
Today we joined members of the first team on one of their summer training sessions.
Over the summer the players have been taking part in training sessions that have been held at the club twice a week.
The expertise of the club's fitness staff and management were used to produce a phased training programme to ensure that the players' strength, condition and fitness was maintained over the summer break.
The players were put to through their paces in a gruelling 1 and a half hour cardio and fitness session that was led by Guy Proctor, Chris Brass and Ben Futcher.
As well as taking part in the weekly training sessions at the club the players were also given an out of season programme that they have followed during their time at home, this included a range of training routines as well as additional nutritional plans.
The summer programme has been tough but as the players have put the work in they will reap the benefits.
