St Bernadette's Visit

10 March 2014

A fun filled visit from St Bernadette's RC Primary School...

The 3rd, 5th and 10th of March saw 3 lots of 30 school children, aged 5-10 from St Bernadette’s RC Primary School visit Bury Football Club to take a look behind the scenes at the club.

The aim of each three of the visits was for the club to build a stronger relationship with the schools in our community and for the children to come in and engage with their local club, find out what goes on and how is the club is run, whilst having lots of fun doing so; this involved them taking part in a treasure hunt around the club, a football session with the club's staff and coaches and a relay session with Physio; Tom Walsh and Foundation Phase Lead Coach; Dean Wright.

The youngsters were thrilled to bump into some of the First Team as they hunted for treasure around the club, stopping them to ask about their lives as footballers.

At the end of each visit each pupil was given a goody bag complete with a signed photo of a player, a wallet signed by Craig Jones, a Bury FC keyring and some sweets; leaving each with a huge smile on their face.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and pupils from St Bernadette's who paid us a visit and thank you for our lovely Thank You letters that we received, we hope to see you all again soon...
