Youth Team for next season taking shape
The club are delighted to reveal the names of several new players to the Shakers Youth team for next season, with all players progressing from the clubs academy system. The following players have been offered Youth Team contracts for next term, and all have been accepted.
Rhys Williams Goalkeeper- lives in Northenden, Greater Manchester- Rhys is a tall agile goalkeeper and a good shot stopper, and he has also international honours for wales
Sam Gibson-Left Back-Lives in Heywood, Sam is a strong defender and likes to get forward; he has a good passing range and has been involved regularly with the Youth team for some time
Rowan Kimmins- Right Back lives in Walkden, Rowan is a tall mobile full back with a good right foot, he likes to get forward and overlap, has been at the club from Under 9’s
Matty Foulds- Central defender-Lives in Bradford, Tall agile defender, very composed on the ball, reads the game well, has a good passing range with his left foot
Jake Durham-Midfield-Lives in Bolton- Jake is an energetic midfielder, he has excellent stamina levels and is very versatile, he can break the play up and also arrive from deep to score goals.
Robert Bourne-Midfield-Lives in Warrington- Robert is a strong central midfield player with excellent composure on the ball, he is very good technically, and can play as a holding midfielder or can get forward to score goals, has been involved regularly with the Youth team
Khalid Mohammed-Midfield- Lives in Manchester- Khalid is a creative midfield player, he is a high energy midfield player, possesses excellent technical ability and is a good ball dribbler, likes to get forward and score goals
George Miller-Forward-Lives in Bolton- George is a forward with any eye for goal, he has tremendous pace and likes to get in behind defences, George has an excellent work ethic and has already scored at Youth team level this season
Most of these players have all-ready represented the youth team as Under 16’s and their progress throughout the next two seasons will be closely monitored by Ryan Kidd and manager David Flitcroft.
