16 May 2014

Nicky Adams returns to the JD Stadium

As revealed by the club via our Social Media sources early on Friday, Nicky Adams has re-joined the Shakers on a three year deal

A product of the Shakers Youth System, Nicky forced his way in the first team in October 2005 and scored the only goal of the game on his debut in a 1-0 win v Darlington.  He went on to make 94 appearances for the Shakers, scoring 15 goals.

His form led to a £100,000 fee from Leicester City for his services where he was to spend two years making a further 38 appearances.  Eventually further moves to Rochdale, Leyton Orient, Brentford and Crawley Town followed before he linked up with Steve Evans at Rotherham United during the January transfer window.  In total, Nicky has made 337 appearances scoring 37 goals.

Nicky has signed a three year deal with the club after an undisclosed fee to Rotherham United secured his services.

We’ll have reaction from manager David Flitcroft and Chairman Stewart Day early on Monday
