Keeper Scott Loach signs on loan until January
26 year old keeper Scott Loach has signed a three month loan deal with the Shakers from Championship side Rotherham United.
The 6 Foot 4 keeper has made over 230 appearances over a seven year career, mostly with Championship clubs Watford and Ipswich Town.
After signing a two year deal with the Millers over the summer, Scott has found chances limited at the New York Stadium and comes to the JD Stadium in time to go straight into the squad for Tuesday night’s JPT Quarter Final game with Tranmere Rovers.
Scott started his career with Watford and following loan spells with Stafford Rangers, Morecambe and Bradford City he quickly broke into the Hornets first-team. It proved to be a successful first full season for Loach after playing 38 times in all competitions as Watford finished comfortably in mid-table. He was ever-present for Watford in the league for the following two seasons as he started to build a reputation as one of the brightest prospects outside the Premier League.
In 2009 he received a call-up to the England under 21 squad making his debut in the game with Ecuador as a substitute before he made the step-up to the England senior squad for a friendly with Hungary a year later, and was also in the squad for the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland.
In the summer of 2012 he left Watford to join Ipswich Town making 25 appearances in all competitions during his first season with the club.
Scott left Portman Road at the end of last season to link up with the Millers but has been restricted to just four appearances at the New York Stadium thus far.
Scott takes squad number 13 and is available for Tuesday night’s game with Tranmere Rovers and will return to the New York Stadium on 17 January.
